Inspector for quality of die casting parts.

Kinetic Die Casting is looking for a quality inspector who will inspect and train other inspectors to ensure quality die casting parts. Die casting parts and die casting tooling inspection experience is helpful. Use of electronic files for print reading is also helpful. Maintains quality standards by auditing incoming materials, in-process production, and finished product testing; recording quality results; providing work direction to staff.

Duties:

Accomplishes quality work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching employees.

Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.

Meets quality cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.

Approves incoming materials by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, and materials rejection.

Approves in-process production by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, and communication of required adjustments to production supervisors.

Approves finished products by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, return of products for re-work, and confirmation of re-work.

Documents inspection results by completing reports; auditing re-work and waste reports; inputting data into quality database.

Keeps measurement equipment operating by enforcing adherence to operating instructions; calling for repairs.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Die Cast Company Supervisor

May 2005

Must understand die casting process.

Must understand die casting machines and die casting tooling.

Must have 10 years experience in die casting.

Must have 5 years experience in supervision.

New innovations in manufacturing and lean helpful.

Experience with ISO 9001:2000 procedures helpful.

Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Strong mechanical planning skills helpful.

Blueprint reading, Autocad, SolidWorks are all beneficial in obtaining position.

Must be willing to learn what it takes to produce the best quality aluminum die cast products for our customers and ship them on time.

Die Cast Lead Person

Must have 6 years experience supervising and operating a die cast machine. Must be willing to work any shift. Must understand how to produce the best quality aluminum die cast products for our customers.

Die Cast Machine Set Up Person

Must have 6 years experience with die cast machine setups. Must understand how the die setup effects the quality of the die casting production.

Die Cast Machine Operator

Must have experience operating a die cast machine and be willing to work any shift.

Die Cast Part Inspector

Must have experience using measurement equipment and have some knowledge of inspection procedures. Must be able to work near die casting machines to inspect products. ISO quality experience would be helpful.
